Arthur Swift, M.D.
Dr. Arthur Swift graduated with scholarships from the McGill University Faculty of Medicine, training both in England and the United States. He received his board certification in plastic surgery at McGill and then completed a fellowship in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami.
Dr. Swift has been practicing the art of plastic surgery since 1984 and has served on the executive of several elite plastic surgical societies and international committees. His medical knowledge and surgical skills have established him as an expert in every sort of aesthetic surgical procedure, from breast enhancement, to body sculpting, nose reshaping, facelifts and laser peels. His practice is based on patient referrals, and he emphasizes a natural appearance in his cosmetic techniques. While Dr. Swift's medical school honors and board certifications attest to his knowledge, his surgical skill and dedication to patient care are the basis of his greatest recognition.
Dr. Swift has always been a champion of the avant-garde, embracing new methods and technologies to better serve his patients. A trend-setter in the rapidly developing field of minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Swift’s revolutionary approach to non-surgical facial enhancement through his innovative use of injectables has made him world-renowned. A frequent lecturer, he has appeared on both local and national television and radio shows, and is regularly consulted and quoted in the print media.
Dr. Swift is a clinical investigator and sits on the global advisory board for many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies in the cosmetic industry. He is the recipient of the 2009 Medicis Cosmetic Industry award, given to the Canadian physician whose pioneering work and innovative techniques have kept Canada at the forefront of aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Swift is presently in private practice in Montreal where his freestanding clinic, The Westmount Institute of Plastic Surgery, is patterned on a boutique hotel concept replete with state-of-the-art equipment. He maintains an active academic staff position at St. Mary’s Hospital, a McGill University affiliated institution. Dr. Swift is also medical director of Victoria Park, Montreal’s premiere medical spa and lifestyle center.
